Donations to Environment North
Donations make a big difference to our organization and help us fulfil our mission. You can donate by cheque, e-transfer or Canada Helps. See below for more details on each way of donating. If you have any questions please send us an email at environmentnorth(at)gmail(dot)com.
About donations:
- A tax receipt will be issued for all donations over $15.00.
- It is not necessary to be a member in order make a donation but we hope you will consider it. Click on "Become a Member" for more information. Membership dues are also issued with a tax receipt.

ANTI-DIRECTED GIVING RULE When making grants to non-qualified donees the Canadian Revenue Agency Guidance states:
Donors can indicate their program preference for how a charity will apply their donation, but ultimate authority on the use of resources must rest with the charity.
If the charity does not use the donation the way the donors prefer, the charity will not return the donation to the donors.
Three ways to make a donation:
1. By Cheque:
Please make the cheque out to Environment North.
In the memo line please indicate that it is a donation. Also indicate in the memo line If you are directing your donation to one of the options listed above.
Please be sure to include your address in order to receive the tax receipt.

2. By e-transfer:
Send an e-transfer to environmentnorth(at)gmail(dot)com
Please be sure to include your address and indicate that it is a donation. Let us know if you are directing your donation to any of the options listed above.

On the Environment North Canada Helps webpage you will find a drop down menu to direct your donation to the options listed above.
Note that Environment North will issue a tax receipt for donations received by cheque or by e-transfer. Canada Helps will issue tax receipts (by email) for donations made on the Environment North Canada Helps webpage.
